Gazprom Export says to launch electronic sales for season, year

MOSCOW, Nov 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Gazprom Export, an export arm of gas giant Gazprom, plans to launch gas sales with longer terms of delivery -- a season, a calendar year and a gas year, on its electronic platform, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Our new dynamic trading tool, the electronic sales platform, is proving to be an effective instrument and is showing good results. Within the electronic sales platform trading, we plan to offer to our clients new products with longer delivery periods: a season, a calendar year and a gas year,” CEO of the affiliate Yelena Burmistrova said, as cited in the statement.

“At the same time, we are aiming to further promote contracts with shorter delivery periods. In the future, we plan to develop trading using time spreads, which will allow us to further enhance the efficiency of the electronic sales platform,” the official said.
